Field Service Technician
Purpose: Candidate will be expected to assist with installation, maintenance, and repairs of propane systems in accordance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain propane equipment as required.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
- Perform system safety checks and inspections for all new and existing customers.
- Be licensed and willing to help with delivery of bulk energy products, to also include:
- Propane tank hook up and setting
- Heating equipment service and repair
- System re-piping and conversion
- Assist in maintaining accurate parts inventory.
- Perform all service work in accordance with NFPA 58.
- Trained in MN Propane Association Service and Repair Maintenance guidelines.
- Provide after-hour assistance as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
- Current MVR detailing driving record within company standards.
- Meet DOT physical and medical requirements.
- Pass substance abuse screening and agree to random substance abuse screening.
- Knowledge of energy products and services, such as propane is a plus.
- Must attend all required safety and educational training.
- Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally.
- Self-motivated, energetic, detail oriented and able to adhere to deadlines.
- Great leadership, communication, teamwork and organizational skills.
- Basic math aptitude including computing percentages.
- Understand and accurately complete invoice paperwork.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Occasional environment of adverse conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to wrok in inclement weather.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak season.
