Head Administrator
Reports to: Board of Directors, Community Christian School (CCS)

General Description
The Head Administrator serves as the chief executive of Community Christian School, providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and spiritual leadership to fulfill the school’s mission and vision. This position requires a Christ-centered individual with strong organizational leadership skills, significant business or nonprofit management experience, and a passion for advancing biblically grounded Christian education.
This role emphasizes executive management, financial stewardship, team leadership, and community engagement—carried out with humility and excellence in a servant leadership style.

Key Responsibilities
Spiritual & Strategic Leadership

● Serve as the spiritual leader of the school, modeling a Christ-centered life and biblically informed leadership.
● Advance the school’s mission and vision through prayerful strategic planning and decision-making.
● Lead with a servant-leadership philosophy, encouraging collaboration, accountability, and Christlike humility.

Governance & Policy
● Reports directly to the Board of Directors
● Function as the sole liaison between the CCS Board of Directors and the operational staff.
● Implement Board-approved policies and contribute insightfully to the development of future policy and direction.

Organizational & Financial Management
● Oversee budgeting, cash flow planning, tuition strategies, and financial reporting.
● Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for Christian schools.
● Guide long-term capital planning and resource development, including facility growth and investment planning.

Human Resources & Staff Development
● Supervise and support senior staff, conducting regular performance reviews and fostering professional development.
● Lead hiring, evaluations, compensation, and conflict resolution with integrity and biblical values.
● Build and nurture a healthy workplace culture that aligns with the mission and values of CCS.

Enrollment, Advancement & Community Engagement
● Direct strategies for student recruitment, enrollment retention, and family engagement.
● Lead fundraising efforts including donor relations, financial aid support, and operational fundraising.
● Represent CCS within the broader community, including churches, civic groups, preschools, and local businesses.

Program & Accreditation Oversight
● Oversee the accreditation process and ensure compliance with academic and regulatory standards.
● Support academic leaders by providing resources and vision that encourage Christ-centered excellence in teaching and learning.

Facilities & Operations
● Oversee campus operations including safety, maintenance, technology infrastructure, and long-range facility planning.
● Lead strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of school operations.

Qualifications
Spiritual Qualifications

● Full agreement with the CCS Statement of Faith.
● Demonstrates a strong, mature Christian faith and a life of consistent biblical character.
● Active participation in a local church with biblical teaching in alignment with CCS doctrine.
● Committed to Christian education and to setting a Christlike example in leadership and daily life.
● If applicable, enrolls school-aged children at CCS when educationally feasible.

Professional Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Leadership, Education, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or commensurate experience.
● Substantial experience (minimum 7+ years) in business or organizational leadership, including financial oversight and team management.
● Demonstrated ability to lead organizations with clarity, accountability, and vision.
● Proven financial acumen, including budgeting, donor development, and fundraising experience.
● Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
● Familiarity with or strong support for Christian education.
● A humble and confident servant leader, known for integrity, collaboration, and spiritual maturity.

Performance will be reviewed annually by the CCS Board of Directors based on operational effectiveness, leadership character, financial health, spiritual influence, and strategic progress, in accordance with the CCS Board Policy Manual, this Job Description, and the Strategic Plan

Spiritual Qualifications for Employment

  • All CCS employees will manifest by precept and example the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model both in and out of school to pupils (Luke 6:40), and as an example to parents, and fellow employees in judgment, respect, and Christian living. (Colossians 3:17; I Thessalonians 2:10; 5:18, 21-22; James 3:17-18).
  • Has accepted Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior (Rom. 10:9-10).
  • Demonstrates a conviction that God has called him/her to become involved in a Christian school ministry (I Cor. 7:21- 24).
  • Demonstrates a consistent outward evidence of an inward Christian character (I Tim. 4:12).
  • Maintains a regular and contributing involvement in a church having a doctrine which is in agreement with the school's Statement of Faith and which is scripturally sound in its teaching (Heb. 10:24-25).
  • Is convinced of the importance of prayer and a daily time of meditation in the Word of God and actively pursues a relationship with God (Ps. 42:1-2).
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity, a teachable spirit and have a clear conscience before God and man (Titus 2:2-8).
  • Has workable knowledge of the Word of God, knowing how to feed himself/herself spiritually and communicate its message to others (I Tim. 4:7).

The employee agrees that the scripture dictates standards of sexual behavior. Any promiscuity, homosexuality, or other deviant sexual behavior is forbidden and as such violates the requirement of being a role model. The unique role of male and female are clearly defined in scripture.
